Hello! My name is Aiden Martinez. I am a sophomore at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, majoring in geography while minoring in both environmental science and sociology. My field of research focuses on human geography, focusing on population dynamics and the interactions between people and their environment. I am a member of the CODES (Community Oriented Digital Engagement Scholars) scholarship program, working closely with the Jackie Joyner Kersee Center for Food and Nutrition on the Northern Campus Design Project. Currently I am a customer sales associate and delivery coordinator at Lowes and have previous work experience in the automotive care and foodservice industries. I like to spend my time working on and riding motorcycles, working out at the gym, and playing guitar. Some of my core values are hard work, determination, clear communication, and having an open mind. To me, success is not just about how much a person can accomplish, but also the unique learning opportunities and experiences gained from the process of success. My future goals are to further develop my knowledge base and leave a positive impact on the world.
