    REFLECTION #4

This semester has been full with ups and downs, learning, and prideful moments. One of the most challenging aspects of the project was a teammate who really put in little to no effort during the entire semester. After several attempts to include him and support him, he did no work but remained part of the team. This was a frustrating situation for the rest of us who put in 100% effort, and it just felt like we were working unevenly because he still got credit. Even though this wasn’t the best way to deal with it, it really taught me about patience, communication, and team dynamics. On a more positive…

    REFLECTION #3

Over the last three weeks, my group and I have had the opportunity to have some very helpful discussions with our mentor, Andrew, which greatly influenced our project. We devised some key questions that needed to be resolved in order for us to progress with developing our QR code initiative. These questions focused on the design, accessibility, and the content of the project, thus giving clarity on how we should approach the next steps. One of the first things discussed was the design process for the QR codes. Since we intend to involve QR codes in the project, we were seeking advice from Andrew on how to begin the design…

    REFLECTION #2

Looking back at our presentation, I think we did a pretty good job of being clear, concise, and straightforward. We effectively communicated our goals and how MOBOT can support us. However, there’s definitely room for improvement in how we present this information. One area to focus on is practicing our delivery. If we go over the presentation a few more times and use our own words, we can avoid sounding robotic. I also believe we need to work on building our confidence to make our presentation more persuasive. We really appreciated the feedback from both our partners at MOBOT and our classmates. It’s clear that we need to come up…

    RESEARCH PROJECT

Research Question: Which digital engagement strategies are most effective in enhancing comprehension and emotional responses to reparative justice content? Team members: Alejandra Beltran and Li Lindsey. Teamwork Reflection: For me, working with Li was really a great experience. Right from the start, she was a phenomenal team member, very helpful and always energetic when getting her work done. I found her really responsive to any request for her assistance in getting work done. Overall, the collaboration with Li was easy and straight. Whether tough work or tight deadlines, Li followed with great positivity and responsibility. And that kept us on track to creating something great together while giving us that…

    REFLECTION #1

FIRST MOBOT VISIT OF THE SEMESTER. Reflecting on our recent visit to MOBOT and our meeting with their partners, I gained valuable insights into how different approaches can enhance visitor experiences without losing our main focus as CODES which is making the real story known. Observing their methods and tools broadened my perspective on how we can improve our projects by analyzing the successes they’ve had with their strategies. One of the most interesting things to me was the diversity of techniques used to engage visitors. From interactive installations and signs to guided tours, each approach had its unique strengths and catered to different aspects of visitor engagement and also…
