SMITH<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>REFLECTION #1<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>ALEJANDRA BELTRAN<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I decided to use the Madison County Historical Society Archival&nbsp;website cause it is the first one that caught my attention. At first sight, I noticed that the website is pretty colorful, and it catches your attention pretty easily which is a really good point; attractive visuals are really important to catch your audience\u2019s attention.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;The Madison County Historical Museum and archival library&nbsp;is dedicated to preserving the history of Madison County, Illinois, for the purpose of understanding its people, culture, and community.&nbsp;It\u2019s owned and maintained by the society. MCHSA relies on generosity from the community to fund operations, generate educational resources, and provide outstanding programs all year.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Madison County Historical Society was formally organized in 1916 but remained inactive until 1921 when the new charter aimed to \u201cstimulate a general interest in the history of Madison county; to encourage historical research and investigation; to collect and preserve all forms of data bearing upon the history of Madison county.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>They have an artifact spotlight room where they have a couple of pretty interesting objects like an old ice saw and a Lovejoy plate. On the website, you can also find an exhibit with plenty of information and interesting artifacts that have an amazing background.
