Introduction

This final semester of CODES’s dual classes has really been fun for me. I quite enjoyed learning about biology mixed into the usual community-oriented subjects. These two classes have really settled things for me as I wrapped up my final research team class. In this class, I believe I have done A+ level work according to the grading contract agreed upon.

Considering how much of these goals rely on the final research paper of the class, I have put that artifact here below the introduction instead of in each individual goal’s section where I will refer to specific parts of this paper.

Critical & Creative Thinking (15%)

The evidence of this goal’s completion is the proposed experiment section of the research paper. Using that proposed experiment as proof, substantial contributions were made on my part to the paper as a whole including this section in specific.

Global Learning (20%)

The evidence of this goal’s completion is the introduction to the topic section, the reflection and summary section, and given reflections below. With both sections of the research paper, the reflections talking about global issues, and class attendance being at an 85% combine to determine my achievement in this learning goal.

Below are two reflections which discuss global issues.

Information Literacy (20%)

The evidence of this goal’s completion is the research question section, the article review and analysis section, and the reference section of the research paper. Additionally, there’s also the annotated bibliography, an earlier part of this research paper. Together, these show competency in this goal.

Problem-Solving Skills (25%)

This goal’s evidence is at least 1 unit exam showing problem-solving skills. This section will be more complete after the second final exam of the class.

[Unfortunately, I have no proof of the unit exams as they were taken in person on paper.]

Quantitative Literacy (20%)

The evidence of this goal’s completion is proposed experiment of the research paper. This shows how I can analyze data and present it in a way that shows my understanding.
