Introduction
In this section of the portfolio, speak in broad strokes about the skills and content you’ve learned during the first half of the semester. What did you most enjoy? What did you struggle with? What goals do you think you’ve most excelled at meeting and what do you want to continue developing during the second half of the semester?
Goal 1 (20%)
efficiently utilize a comprehensive structure when I present my work
For digital project #1, I had a classmate look over picture essay writing. Which shows that I’m determined to get another perspective. They gave me tips on what I could change and also told me what I could keep. I like this skill that I’ve developed because it shows me that it is okay to ask for other people’s opinions or how they think.
Goal 2 (20%)
Taking risks and turning it into a learning experience.
DP#2 was an example of me taking risks. I would’ve never seen myself filming a video and editing it. Honestly, I actually enjoyed doing it because the tools that I used I can use in other aspects of life, and that to me is a learning experience.
Goal 3 (20%)
collaboration
Collaboration was one of my biggest goals and I’ve accomplished it. There was a project that I had to collaborate with other students and it worked out well. I was never a work-in-a-group type of person I would rather do it by myself.
Goal 4 (20%)
explore a topic in depth etc
This goal was one of my goals. When doing certain assignments I usually stick to what I know I sometimes be a little nervous or scared when having to explore different things. But an article that I was reading was about Taylor Swift and I enjoyed reading and learning about her.
Goal 5 (20%)
Using appropriate, relevant, and compelling content to illustrate mastery of the subject, conveying the writer’s understanding, and shaping the whole work
This was one of my big goals because I wanted to learn how to use words that were understood by the audience. This is one of my little writings that I did I used language that was easy to understand and also got straight to the point.
