So far, my first semester of college at SIUE has been kind of a struggle. It was hard to go from barely having to study for test in high school to making sure I study every day. College also has a lot more reading requirements than high school did so that was also something I had to get a hang of. Pushing the struggles aside, so far I love college and the experiences it provides. I have met so many amazing people from different places. I’ve never been an outgoing person but the people I’ve met so far made it so easy to warm up to them. I’ve also had amazing professors so far, they’ve made learning so fun and they made me look forward to classes everyday.
Spring 2023
My second semester of college was going amazing at the beginning, it was really easy I felt like I had a hang of how it was going to go. After spring break I got a little overwhelmed because I knew I was going to get slammed with work the last couple of weeks which I did. Other than getting stressed with a lot of work it has been an amazing semester. I have met new people, and they were amazing people, I will get to meet the students for our mentorship program soon. I have spent more time on campus this semester than I did last semester with my friend.
