Community Interview <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

During my freshman year, we were assigned digital projects. For this assignment, we were to interview an individual from Alton, Illinois. We interviewed Aaron Elliot, who grew up in Alton but later moved. During the interview, we even found out Mr. Elliot was related to a former president of NCNW (National Council of Negro Women). Through this interview, we learned how Mr. Elliot grew up and how much has changed since he’s left Alton.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tower Grove Pride Festival<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

On September 28, 2025, I attended the Tower Grove Pride Festival with two of my closest friends. During our time there, we interacted with different booths, tried food we had never tried before, watched a drag show, and even signed a petition for Planned Parenthood. I have never participated in an event like this, and I found myself truly enjoying and wanting to return every year. This experience allowed me to step into a community that allowed me to feel involved and included.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
