They are a diverse group of individuals, but they all have this trait in common. As one resident stated, \u201ca community is a group of people who bond over environment.\u201d That is exactly what 2N is. A community is formed as everyone navigates this new life as college freshmen. There are many ways that the people of this hall demonstrates community with one another. Many residents agree that living in 2N and becoming a part of the community has made their college transition easier. If one were to walk by, they would be able to read who lives inside. This gives more of a sense of community rather than if the doors were blank.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"480\" height=\"540\" src=\"https:\/\/eportfolio.siue.edu\/chase-dougherty\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/606\/2026\/10\/image-5.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-463\" srcset=\"https:\/\/eportfolio.siue.edu\/chase-dougherty\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/606\/2026\/10\/image-5.png 480w, https:\/\/eportfolio.siue.edu\/chase-dougherty\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/606\/2026\/10\/image-5-267x300.png 267w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 480px) 100vw, 480px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The social lounge provides an open area for residents of 2N to socialize. The room can be used for residents to play games or hangout with one another. One community member states that they consider their hall a community because residents of the hall are \u201calways getting along\u201d and socializing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"320\" height=\"540\" src=\"https:\/\/eportfolio.siue.edu\/chase-dougherty\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/606\/2026\/10\/image-6.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-464\" srcset=\"https:\/\/eportfolio.siue.edu\/chase-dougherty\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/606\/2026\/10\/image-6.png 320w, https:\/\/eportfolio.siue.edu\/chase-dougherty\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/606\/2026\/10\/image-6-178x300.png 178w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 320px) 100vw, 320px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A large part of the 2N community is door signs. These polls demonstrate how the community interacts with each other. When leaving, members of the community must walk this hall.
