About the Problem
I gained a deeper understanding of the challenges surrounding environmental conservation, particularly the need for equitable access to resources and information. Researching for the podcast revealed how legal frameworks and public policies can either support or hinder conservation efforts. This knowledge emphasized the importance of well-crafted laws that balance environmental protection with community needs.
About the Community
Working on this project opened my eyes to how diverse communities are impacted by environmental issues. I learned that while some neighborhoods thrive with access to green spaces, others face systemic barriers. This realization deepened my understanding of environmental justice and how the law can play a pivotal role in addressing these inequities.
About Myself
I discovered that I thrive when combining analytical thinking with creative expression. Producing the podcast tested my ability to research complex topics, distill them into accessible content, and communicate effectively—all skills that are essential for a future legal career. Additionally, I learned to adapt and persevere when faced with challenges, whether it was technical difficulties or balancing multiple responsibilities.
