Interviewing

During my interview with my roommate I found that it was actually very easy to talk to him about the certain questions that our group had to get information about. Everything felt so smooth. Since I have been interviewed before I kind of know what the interviewee wants the interviewer to ask.

I feel like I could have worded questions differently. With a different choice in wording would almost make the interviewee answer with a longer response. I feel like also it could go back to the interviewee because if he had a little bit more experience with having interviews he would have known that there should have been more information given to the questions. I also feel like if I had given him a little longer of a heads up or the questions beforehand he could have had more to say but that would not have been a true interview.

I feel like our group did a good job in crafting the questions and making sure to hit many different topics. Our questions allowed the interview to have different openings. Our questions allowed the interviewer to be able to continue to ask follow up questions.

I thought transcribing the interview was the easiest part because I just took the notes app on my phone and whatever Drew said I was able to type it in. I didn’t have to rewatch a video and see what the words were.

All in all, I feel like the interview was a good thing for the class and it allowed me to flip the role that I’m usually in. I was able to learn a lot about myself and Drew from the interview.
