In order for me to achieve A Work in CODE 121, I have set goals for myself for the remainder of my college career and how I\u2019ll show that I have accomplished them. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
5.b.\u00a0\u201cAccesses information using effective, well-designed search strategies and appropriate sources.\u201d<\/strong> (15%)<\/p>\n\n\n\n This is a goal of mine for this class because we have done a lot of researching for projects so far. I haven\u2019t had the greatest ability to find the best sources to use for projects. I want my work to be able to show that at the end of the year. I want to learn how to find the absolute best source for whatever project. At the end of the year, I can compare my first research project compared to my last which will allow me to see my improvement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n 7.b.\u00a0\u201cPursues knowledge and educational experience beyond the classroom.\u201d<\/strong> (25%)<\/p>\n\n\n\n My ability to work outside of the classroom has been very struggling so far. I have to clock study hours for my sport but that seems to be the only time I\u2019m working on schoolwork outside of class. I want this to change a lot. The best way I can show that I have completed this goal is to write down the time and place I was at when I was doing schoolwork outside of class and compare it from the beginning to the end.<\/p>\n\n\n\n 8.c.\u00a0\u201cDevelops clear, innovative central messages with significant supporting materials.\u201d<\/strong> (25%)<\/p>\n\n\n\n My goal is to make sure that my main idea is a solid base with very good supporting information to boost the main idea. In past cases I have always gotten a decent main idea with one or two pieces of good evidence but I want to improve to make sure that I have the best I can get. I will be able to show this by doing extra research in Dr. DeSpain\u2019s class to see if I can find better information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n 11.a.\u00a0\u201cEvaluates texts\u2019 scholarly significance to apply reading to other contexts or issues.\u201d<\/strong> (10%)<\/p>\n\n\n\n This has always been a goal of mine. I have always wanted to be able to retain information that I have read or been told and apply it different situations rather than the specific subject it was researched for. I will be able to execute this goal by taking more time understanding the text or multimodal source. By taking more time I will be able to reread the information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n 13.b.\u00a0\u201cUses appropriate, relevant, and compelling content to illustrate mastery of the subject, conveying the writer\u2019s understanding, and shaping the whole work.\u201d<\/strong> (25%)<\/p>\n\n\n\n I chose this to be one of my goals because I want to be able to show Dr. Despain that I have a full understanding of what we have been doing.
