\ud83d\udcd8\u00a0 Passing My Content Test!<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

I\u2019ll never forget September 19th \u2014 the day I passed my Illinois Content Test<\/strong>! It felt like such a big moment after weeks of studying, stressing, and second-guessing myself. Seeing that passing score was a huge sigh of relief and a reminder that all the hard work really does pay off.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I may not know exactly where I\u2019m headed yet, but this milestone made me feel proud of how far I\u2019ve come and excited for whatever\u2019s next.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of my favorite experiences so far has been learning how to create a unit. My team created one called \u00a0Springing into Spring<\/em>\u00a0unit for kindergarteners. My team and I created lessons for students to explore everything about the season \u2014 weather changes, plants growing, bugs buzzing, and how our clothes change when it gets warmer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I learned how to meet standards and make everything I make developmentally appropriate. \ud83c\udf3c<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2728\u00a0 Finding My Voice in the Classroom<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

There was a day this semester when my coordinating\/mentor teacher had to take a sick day, and I was asked to take the lead. I\u2019ll admit, I was nervous! But once the day started, everything fell into place. The kids knew our routines, trusted me, and we had such a smooth, fun day together.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That experience showed me how much I\u2019ve grown since starting this program. It\u2019s crazy to think that just a year ago I would\u2019ve been scared and now I feel ready to take charge when needed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Something I\u2019ve been thinking about a lot lately is how important family partnerships are in early childhood. Parents know their kids best, and when we work together, it makes a huge difference.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In my placements, I\u2019ve learned that simple things, like friendly newsletters, quick chats at pickup, or celebrating small successes, can go a long way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
