Introduction
So far the research team has helped man develop my general research skills in so many ways. We have practiced various ways to conduct research and have done many things in class which will help me later in my college career and beyond.
Goal 1 (10%)
I will describe issues clearly, using relevant info.
In the presentation I was able to get my point across in a timely manner while speaking clearly and loud enough for everyone to hear me. Also during the day where our community partner was there I was the one taking notes so I had to be able to quickly type coherent sentences that related to what everyone was saying during that discussion.
Goal 2 (10%)
Access info using effective strategies.
When searching for my articles that I did research about I used google scholar and was able to find good credible articles. I also used google trends for the presentation, which is another known credible source. Also with the article that we read in the beginning of the article I had to find out what certain words meant as it was a long and difficult paper to read.
Goal 3 (10%)
Work independently to meet team goals.
The main thing I’ve done in class relating to group activities is the group presentation that we have. I made and revised my slide and notes in a timely manner to be fully prepared for the presentation. There were also times where

Use language that communicates meaning
In the project my first slide introduces what I will be talking about swiftly in a manner that is effective but brief, which segaways well into the rest of the presentation. I also used proper language to talk about what I meant in the paragraphs about the articles that we had to write.
Goal 5 (10%)
Helps move things forward by showing alternative ideas.
At the Alton field trip I was the only one from the NGRECC group that day but we almost didn’t even visit it since it was on a weekend but I asked to see it just to see what it looked like. If I wasn’t there they would have just skipped past it. I would also add things to conversations more as the semester more and ask more questions for clarification.
