I wanted the survey to be open to everyone, regardless of whether they had a mentor or not. I considered including questions about those who have not participated in a mentorship program and how it can benefit them, as well as why they chose not to participate or have never participated in one. I liked creating the survey because it forced me to think more broadly, rather than only in terms of a certain target audience. I also like that adding additional questions can result in an increased amount of data. The aspect of the survey that I did not enjoy was attempting to make the questions all make sense and flow together. At first, I thought this would be simple, but it was difficult to have some answers to one question and others to answer another, but I eventually figured it out.
