Introduction

As we reach the midterm I look back on the many thing that I have learned. I think I’ve really excelled on group work and bringing people together, also I think when it comes to participation i’m always the first to engage. Some things that I struggle with and need to put more wore into is my writing assignment and responding to everyones prompts. I feel as though I still have a lot of growth left to get my writing to where it needs to be.

As the Term comes to an end I look back on my productive semester and all the things I learned. One of the things that I have learned this semester is how to make presentations in front of people. Each presentation that I made had a different affect on me in terms of what I learned and how I felt about them. There were some presentations that were a lot easier to do because I was in front of people that I knew, but other presentations were a lot more difficult because I had a set amount of time to get my message across so finding the right words to say was difficult. Overall I feel as though my presentation skills have improved for the better.

Goal 1 (40%)

[When we traveled to Alton, IL we stumbled upon a meeting that was happening at the boy and girls club. As we sat there, we were asked a few questions that required us to really think hard. When it came to answering I went last and made sure everyone had an opportunity to say what they needed and listened to what they said. When it came my turn to speak, I answered the question while building upon what everyone said and bringing it to a conclusion]

We a group project in class in class over a read we had to cover. When it came to choosing my partners I didn’t know how to go about it since I didn’t have a close relationship with many people yet. Regardless I chose to step up and get to know some of my teammates. Within the group we had to assume a role, and I was chosen a the facilitator and lead the group towards a common goal while involving my teammates.

[I have read “Writing in the Disciplines” and “Sustainable World” while taking notes. I’ve also been able to show that I have a understanding of what I read when I give example in class. ]

[When it came to my Digital Project #2 I had a clear idea on how I would approach the project. I had everything planned out, but than I was faced with with a few challenges. The challenges included not have the equipment I intended on having, my film partner becoming sick, and the idea being too difficult to edit. I realized I had to take a different approach and came up with a few ideas to complete the project.]
