First Introduction
For this semester I am looking forward to working with my group on our project and coming up with new ideas in hopes of setting them into play as the semester progresses. I want to expand my knowledge on the research that is being conducted by my group and I. This semester is a chance for me to not only grow but to explore my other options and know that I’m not limited to the research that was done last semester. I want to work closely with my community partners and actually start seeing my vision come to life. I’m a firm believer in that growth does not have a limit; it is always room to do so. That because I’ve mastered a few skills last semester doesn’t mean I don’t have to continue to work on them. This semester I want to work on my oral communication, specifically public speaking. I still, till this day, get extremely nervous when it comes to speaking Infront of a group of people. This is something that I want to work closely on because I know this semester, just like any other semester, I will have to present my information to my peers, organizations, other CODES scholars and staff members. I’m going to overcome this struggle and master this skill because it’s a lot that goes into play in order for me to achieve this goal. I will be more organized, request feedback and ask for help with the things that I feel as though isn’t my best work in hopes that I can receive help to improve my issue in the end, so that when the time comes I can master and maintain this goal and many other goals that I’ve set out for myself. Another skill that I want to master and maintain are my writing skills. I think it’s very important to continually apply pressure to this skill and build it because writing is a language that should be able to reach many people. it’s a way for you to take your words and apply it on paper, but it’s not just an A-to-Z kind of thing, I have to make sure you come off very clear and understanding as possible. I want to meet all the requirements, even exceed them and put my best foot forward. Not just in my writings but In this class overall.
