About Me

Aspiring Public Relations Professional and Future Attorney

Hello, my name is Jonathan Brown, and I’m proud to call Merrionette Park, IL, my hometown—a vibrant suburb located just outside of Chicago. I am currently pursuing a degree in Public Relations with a minor in Sociology at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE).

My academic journey and personal aspirations are deeply rooted in my passion for advocacy, communication, and justice. With my strong foundation in public relations, I am developing the skills to craft compelling narratives, build trust with diverse audiences, and elevate important voices, which are essential tools for my ultimate goal: working in the legal field as an attorney.

The legal profession calls to me because of its power to create tangible, meaningful change in people’s lives. I firmly believe in the core values of respect, dignity, fairness, and equality, and I aspire to be part of the movement that ensures these principles are upheld for all individuals. Whether through social justice advocacy or community-centered legal work, I want to contribute to ensuring that marginalized communities are heard, represented, and protected.

Throughout my time at SIUE, I am committed to building a strong foundation of knowledge, leadership, and hands-on experience. By combining my expertise in public relations with my understanding of sociology, I aim to bring a unique perspective to the legal field—one that bridges strategic communication and social advocacy to better serve communities and effect change.

Thank you for taking the time to learn more about my background and aspirations. I invite you to explore my portfolio, which highlights the projects, experiences, and skills I have developed so far on my path toward becoming a legal professional.
