Final Reflection
My Experience: Through searching for ways to create an educational program for the public about the history of MOBOT and Henry Shaw. We have decided to create a PDF lesson plan that can be accessed online, that addresses the history of Henry Shaw, the enslaved individuals he purchased, and the ways in which he contributed to the St. Louis Region. This presentation was a great representation of the impact CODES scholars can have on non-profit organizations. Our process was very efficient, and we all did our parts to bring this together seamlessly. I’ve done multiple projects, and this project was one of the most interesting because we found improvements to better MOBOTS historical context.
Our Roles: TaKara Gilbert and Zina Kuebee will oversee information and education content research. Karmen Thornton will be in charge of researching what activities are best for audience participation. Jonathan Brown is our public relations (connecting with schools and programs that are willing to implement our lesson plan). Cullen Krieg will be responsible for our visuals and engagement. Once again, we are so excited to start working more hands on with MOBOT and implement our project! Thank you for your time and help.
