Dear Dr. Smith,<\/strong>

I would really like to show my skills\u00a0 because I can already see the class is gearing towards a sociology standpoint. This is what I call my \u201cbread & butter\u201d work because I love the study of situations, people, anything dealing with notes, and articles. I can\u2019t wait to see how I can apply myself to solving complex questions and presenting them in the best way possible!

Reads using an appropriate lens and can engage in a continuing dialogue within and beyond a discipline or a community of readers.(40%)<\/strong>

I alway do my reading with no bias so I can get an appropriate assessment of the material. My personal notes help me engage with a community of readers or a simple conversation about said topic. I can guarantee this goal will be met.

Works independently toward goals by contributing and meeting deadlines.(40%)<\/strong>

This goal is something I’ve struggled with in the past because of my organizational skills. My last semester was an eye-opener for me and I can promise you I will try to my fullest power to meet every deadline you give us. I will always contribute in class with my notes either it be independent or with the class and I enjoy both.\u00a0

Pursues knowledge and educational experience beyond the classroom.(10%)\u00a0<\/strong>

I believe that the time you put in outside the classroom shows in the classroom. I hold a lot of value in knowledge so any material presented to me I’ll treat as a personal study. This class has great material so I will not only study these topics outside of class, I’ll be happy to put the time outside of the class to research these studies and situations.

Demonstrates sophisticated understanding of the complexity of elements important to members of another culture in relation to history, values, politics, communication styles, economy, or beliefs and practices.(5%)<\/strong>

This is where this class comes in because we have multiple standpoints from different people so I can evaluate a scenario from multiple scopes. This will help me develop skills in understanding different elements of a situation or study.

Systematically analyzes assumptions to develop logical plans to solve problems.(5%)<\/strong>

I believe an assumption is only one step away from being fact. The only step that\u2019s missing is the time spent studying that assumption so if we can apply logical plans to solve these assumptions then we can solve problems within that study.

I hope these goals and my commitment in this course will earn me an A in your eyes as well as reflect in my work as well.\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0
