Today was a pretty good day. Everyone was present except for Garrison and Nyah. The rest of us treated today like a Q-&-A session. We passed out little sheets of paper to the mentees and asked them to write any questions they had on them. Most of the questions relate to college, which was understandable. However, there were a few about friendships and starting a business. We sort of went around the room sharing our perspectives when it felt right to do so. For the most I think the mentees really enjoyed the day, and hopefully they were able to learn something out of it. I wish we had time to answer the rest of the questions they had. Moving forward though, when we see them next time I believe we will be collecting ratings on their preferred mentors. I’m worried they won’t choose me, but hopefully my time being present will show my commitment to their success.
