Hello, my name is Juan Espericueta, and I’m interested in starting a career in Human Resources. Goodwill stands out to me because of its focus on helping people build skills, find opportunities, and improve their lives through work.
Through college and different group projects, I’ve developed strong communication, teamwork, organization, and research skills. One experience that helped me grow was a project with the Missouri Botanical Garden, where my group worked with historical documents involving a difficult and sensitive topic. That experience taught me how important it is to communicate clearly, work with different personalities, and make sure everyone understands their role.
I think those skills would transfer well into an HR position at Goodwill because HR is about supporting employees, solving problems, and helping create a positive and productive workplace.
