Throughout my first semester here at SIUE, I’ve gained several interests and friends; they’re helping me become more outgoing and have helped me through a lot. When I first got to campus, I didn’t know a single person besides the people in CODES and my girlfriend, but while exploring the campus, I found two experiences that would elevate my college experience, with the first being the pool table downstairs in the MUC, which is where I have made most of my friends this semester. Because of the casual conversations and sportsmanship of playing pool, I found a lot of people that I have lots in common with.
The second experience was with my fraternity, Alpha Psi Lambda, which showed me that it it’s going to take a lot of hard work and dedication to get through college, as it did for me to get into the fraternity but it also showed me to never stop because even though it was extremely difficult, it was very rewarding when I finally became a member of Alpha Psi Lambda
