What is the National Great Rivers Research and Education Center (NGRREC)
The National Great Rivers Research and Education Center (NGRREC), which Lewis and Clark Community College operates is a research and education facility focused on the ecology and management of large rivers, particularly the Mississippi, Illinois, and Missouri Rivers in the United States. NGRREC conducts scientific research, provides educational programs, and collaborates with various partners to better understand and address issues related to river ecosystems and their conservation.
My Work at NGRREC
I was an active intern at NGRREC from Fall 2022 until Summer 2024. During this time I have had the opportunity to experience how an institution like NGRREC can operate and what the roles of scientists, educators, and social media teams look like. Looking back I can see how my experience at NGRREC has shaped my future goals and career aspirations.
Below you can find some examples of the work I have done for NGRREC.
