First-Week Introduction

My goal is to improve in my ability to connect with my group members and have a more engaging and relatable written communication. I am excited to see how I improve with working with others. I will reach out to my partners more and give more innovative ideas to move the group forward.

Midterm Introduction

During this semester we learned about the integration of indigenous knowledge in Western Sciences in the world of Ecology and Environmental sciences. My biggest improvement so far in the semester is my collaborative measures with my groupmates. I would like to improve more in applying reading in and out of class.

Final Introduction

During this semester I have had multiple trials and tribulations in order to become a better student and improve my knowledge in science in a new perspective I have never been taught before. I believe I have met my goals because I have gone out of my way to rewire my mindset to look more in-depth on topics and connect it to my day-to-day life. The goal I improve the most on is 3A, and I want to continue to connect my knowledge in the classroom to my personal life. I will use the skill of innovative thinking to continue to develop my skills in connecting the classroom to my livelihood.

In my writing I will show competence of the topic of reading by receiving good grades and showing my ethics in writing

In Reading Reflection Week 2 I used engaging and relatable vocabulary to have an enjoyable piece of writing. I put a lot of effort into this reflection, and I am very proud of the outcome showing me working towards my goal of clear communication.

In the grading of my reading reflection, I received full points in the grading stating that my writing was well-articulated and clear to read.

In this scientist spotlight I show my understanding of the impact of climate change on native communities, and I connect it to the issues that are not being addressed such as big companies’ carbon footprints compared to the everyday person. Showing my beliefs in my writing.

In this rubric I exceeded in all the requirements needed to fully comprehend the article I received for my jigsaw assignment.

In this text I am informing my group members of my progress in our annotation so we could see the best line of action to finish the assignment. I show my willingness to assist in the project.

In this text I saw my inclination to work from home even if due to an illness I was not able to show up to class in person. It shows my ability to work in all circumstances.

I was assigned full credit for participation in class for the jigsaw. To complete this assignment, I had to work independently on the completion of a reflection of the article.

In my section of the review paper, I show an understanding of the material and provided my work on time. Showing that I put effort towards our group project by working on my section independently.

In this grading rubric on a reflection, I showed my ability to produce coherent writing showing my message was perceived correctly.

In this reflection I clearly display my opinion of the tradition of Haudenosaunee children singing the thanksgiving anniversary. I give descriptive and precise perception of my thoughts in the matter.

In my section of the annotated bibliography, I described the intent and use for the science communication above to our project. I show a deep understanding by having the ability to connect it to our project with a clear and substantial summary of the article with engaging text.

In this portion of my research paper in depth I write about the premise of this review paper and the connection it has to our thesis statement of the importance of reciprocity and diversity in teaching. In this section I use clearly and colorful vocab to describe the article to allow my writing to be more engaging.

In this discussion post I connected the reading of Braiding Sweetgrass topic to an experience I had in my life to feel more intertwined with the reading.

In this reflection I connect the reading to issues I see present in society today. I looked in depth into the quote instead of surface level paying attention to the metaphors hidden inside of it.

During this class discussion I received full credit showing my ability to understand the reading to the extent of applying it to our class discussions.

In this section of my Research paper, I connect the information I learned in my reading of this science communication paper to our thesis statement. I also apply the knowledge gained from the paper to the previous papers I wrote about in my research paper.

In this text I inform my group of conflicts that might hit our collaboration, but I gave an idea to combat the potential issue.

In this text I give the idea to accelerate the process of our project to give the group more time to be attentive to details.

In this section of my research paper, I connect my paper to the other articles in the paper to increase the flow and collaborative measure with my teammates to have a cohesive paper allowing a new insight in our group.

In my groups Annotated Bibliography, I suggested we do a TikTok for one of our articles. In this source we were able to connect reciprocity in teaching to some hands-on experience in and out of the classroom. This shows me bringing solutions and insight to the group.
