Grade Portfolio

Introduction

Below are the five goals that I’ve reached during my freshman year with Codes.  I am happy that I’ve reached all my goals but I am sad that I do not have pictures for all of them. I do hope you enjoy reading about what I have achieved this spring semester.

Goal 1 (40%)

Use my research and work to help us understand Ngrrec’s background

  •  I attended three meetings with my cohort and throughout these meetings, I have taken notes and held conversations with the doctors that work for NGRREC. This helped me compile the things that I needed for my final presentation.

Goal 2 (15%)

My writing and style choices are written with a purpose in mind

  • Last semester I developed a new writing style. which helped me tremendously with one of my Codes papers. the paper was a literary analysis of Gap years. I did really well on this paper and I also received praise from my teacher.

Goal 3 (10%)

improve my delivery of formal speeches by working on my eye contact, expressiveness, and confidence

  • In my final presentation, I showed knowledge of my subject which was NGRREC. While delivering my speech I tried to keep eye contact with the crowd which I believe I did tremendously great at. I delivered my speech with confidence, and slowly enough that everyone could hear and understand me.

Goal 4 (10%)

evaluate several possible strategies or solutions

  • I asked questions about the NGRREC’s research, that help us make a menu for our summer program. The menu contains what we will be doing for the summer and how are ideas will be formed with NGRREC. My team And I have come up with a lot of ideas that could help each individual project at NGRREC.

Goal 5 (20%)

Take a risk on assignments and approaches to learning new knowledge and transforming ideas through knowledge from multiple domains

  • I explored a new topic in-depth, which yielded a rich awareness, and I had known little information on a topic during the semester. With my Gap Year topic before I landed on that topic I had another one that I wanted to do. The topic was the infant rate in Gen Z. I did change the topic because I took an interest in another, but did learn a lot about the topic before I changed it.
