Reflection 4

When considering my target audience (high schoolers), especially individuals with learning disabilities, I recognize the crucial role that accessibility plays in effective communication. I am drawn to content that is clear, structured, and adaptable to various learning styles. Presenting information in manageable chunks and following a logical, step-by-step flow significantly reduces cognitive load and enhances comprehension. By incorporating multiple formats—such as audio, visuals, and text—I can engage with the content in ways that highlight my strengths.

In my work, I will focus on creating content that is accessible to both individuals with learning disabilities and those without. This involves presenting information clearly and utilizing multiple modalities to cater to diverse learning preferences. For instance, in a podcast, I will deliver the script at a manageable pace, restating key points throughout and supporting them with visual aids or summaries for reinforcement.
