320 CODES Reflection 1
To revise my product I plan to have a college science teacher to review the water conservation lesson plan . This will benefit my product because it allows feedback from a credible and knowledgeable source who has experience with scientific methods and educational practices . This could potentially take my lesson to the next level. In addition I will revise my lesson by making sure all activities, language, and learning objectives are accurate for my target audience. I want to focus on my overall clarity when explaining tasks, expectations, and other background information during my lesson. To further improve the accuracy and effectiveness of my lesson I want to explore a variety of secondary sources related to water conservation education. Some sources I plan to use are, curriculum guides designed for elementary/middle schools, age appropriate books, and other media that explain water using engaging activities. The primary audience for this lesson is students in 5th-12th grade with teachers being the implementing this lesson in the classroom. Keeping my target audience in mind, the main revision I would like to adjust is the overall difficulty of the lesson. While the lesson does an excellent at targeting younger students broadening the audience is important so that information is understood over all age groups. This revision may look like an extra section for students that are at higher level with extra activities that may focus on differentiating different types of soils, applying information used to the environment around them, or an extra activity. I aim to make this lesson more versatile and inclusive, and impactful for all learners. In conclusion, my water conservation lesson successfully addresses many important education goals, but there is always room for improvement specifically in refining my target audience awareness and overall clarinet, and I plan to continue working on theses areas to strengthen my lesson plan
