Introduction
I’m not gonna lie, the first half of the semester was a rough one. I felt very unproductive and we had thought we were going to start working with the kids the first of February and that did not happen so not having that work made me feel even more unproductive. All I really did was the research plan and the bibliography for the sources we found as well as plugging in the questions for the questionnaire we made for the students who are going to be involved in the program.
Goal 1
Civic Engagement A. Show that I can work with peers and people in a community
With this one, I hope to have more at the end of the year after working with the students in the program but at the moment all I have is working in class within my research team and meeting with people who want to be a part of the program via zoom.
Goal 2
Ethical Reasoning C. Think about a question and the ethics behind it before asking it
For this one my artifacts would include the questions we created for the questionnaire and the ones we used. We also talked to and interviewed teachers from the Alton Middle school and decided as a team who we thought would work best for our project and decided together.
Goal 3
Intercultural Knowledge and Competence B. Show that I understand how complex and important to other cultures, histories, values, politics, communication styles, economies, or beliefs and practices.
For this, my artifact is an article that I read on Intercultural Knowledge and Competence that expands on what it is and includes some strategies people could use to grow their knowledge
