CODES 221 Final E Portfolio

Okay, so the rest of the semester was better than the first half. Once we started working with the kids it was really fun. It was very nerve-wracking but still fun. We worked on their digital stories, they did a pre and post-survey, and then they got to watch their videos. 

Goal 1

Civic Engagement A. Show that I can work with peers and people in a community

For this, I am including pictures of the bibliography that Madison and I completed at the beginning of the semester. I will also include pictures of us working with the kids in the program to create their stories,

Ethical Reasoning C. Think about a question and the ethics behind it before asking it 

For this goal, I am including the pre and post-survey that we used when we started and ended the program.  I am also including some of the slides from our slideshow where we asked them questions.

Intercultural Knowledge and Competence B. Show that I understand how complex and important other cultures, histories, values, politics, communication styles, economies, or beliefs and practices

For this, my artifact is an article that I read on Intercultural Knowledge and Competence that expands on what it is and includes some strategies people could use to grow their knowledge

Based on Oral Communication A. Be precise and organized 

For this, I am including screenshots of our agenda and slides that show our daily routines. 

Goal 5 

Based on Problem Solving B. Think of more than one way to solve a problem 

For this, I am talking about the plans that we had that we weren’t able to do because we did not have enough time. For example, we had hoped that they would be able to edit their own videos but we had fewer days than we anticipated so we ended up editing their videos for them.
