I chose nursing because I want to work in healthcare, help people, and make a difference in patients\u2019 lives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Career Interests:<\/strong><br>I am interested in nursing and anesthesia. My major is important because it will give me the knowledge, clinical experience, and skills I need to reach my career goals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>My Goals:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Oral Communication (CODES 8a):<\/strong> I will use organizational techniques like chunking to make my ideas clear and organized when presenting.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Written Communication (CODES 13a):<\/strong> I will improve my writing by adjusting it to fit my audience, purpose, and situation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Skills for Lifelong Learning (CODES 7b):<\/strong> I will seek opportunities outside of class that help me learn more about my career interests and prepare for my future.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Information Literacy (CODES 5b):<\/strong> I will improve my ability to find reliable information about career opportunities and use it to make better decisions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Collaboration (CODES 12c):<\/strong> I will become better at communicating with others, contributing to shared goals, and being responsible for my work.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Courses Completed:<\/strong><br><strong>English 101:<\/strong> Improved my college-level writing, reading, and communication skills.<br><strong>English 102:<\/strong> Continued developing my writing, research, and critical thinking skills.<br><strong>Anthropology:<\/strong> Learned about different cultures, societies, and human behavior.<br><strong>Biology 115:<\/strong> Learned about basic biological concepts and how living systems function.<br><strong>UNIV 113:<\/strong> Learned about college resources, campus services, financial aid, and strategies for college success.<br><strong>CODES 120:<\/strong> Developed skills in communication, critical thinking, civic engagement, ethical reasoning, and collaboration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Future Courses:<\/strong><br><strong>CODE 121:<\/strong> I hope to improve my career preparation, professional communication, networking, resume writing, and interview skills.<br><strong>Future Nursing and Science Courses:<\/strong> I hope to build my knowledge of science and healthcare while developing the skills I need for my nursing career.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Major:My major is nursing.
