  1. What is the purpose of your\u00a0work?\u2026what is the\u00a0format\u00a0 of\u00a0the group project? What individual products does this project consist of and in what forms?<\/strong>\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    The overall purpose of the project is to gain exposure to the community of Cahokia Heights who are dealing with a water equity crisis that creates issues in a variety of domains such as residency, access to healthy foods, and public health. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The purpose of\u00a0my individual\u00a0project is to\u00a0find\u00a0government funded\u00a0agencies that provide resources for communities in need, specifically those that\u00a0have a main agenda of\u00a0restoring\u00a0property, provide funding,\u00a0health aid\u00a0and\u00a0could\u00a0help\u00a0with\u00a0any issues that the residents of Cahokia Heights\u00a0are currently facing.\u00a0\u2013 Jada Parker<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The purpose of\u00a0my\u00a0individual\u00a0project is\u00a0to\u00a0help\u00a0residents who\u00a0rent their\u00a0homes\u00a0in\u00a0Cahokia.\u00a0Because of\u00a0the\u00a0lower\u00a0economic\u00a0status\u00a0of the\u00a0Cahokia\u00a0community\u00a0and\u00a0frequent\u00a0flooding,\u00a0renting\u00a0a\u00a0home in\u00a0Cahokia\u00a0can\u00a0be\u00a0complicated.\u00a0There is\u00a0data\u00a0from a survey\u00a0conducted about\u00a0landlord-tenant\u00a0relationship\u00a0dynamics\u00a0and\u00a0helpful\u00a0information for\u00a0tenants\u00a0in the area.\u00a0— Keith\u00a0Hawkins<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The purpose of my individual project is to give Cahokia Heights residents resources that can be used through\u00a0different aspects\u00a0of their lives.\u00a0I\u2019ve\u00a0compiled a\u00a0list of grassroots organizations and non-profit organizations that offer resources for residents in Cahokia Heights and the surrounding area.\u00a0–Sa\u2019Dae\u00a0Cooper\u00a0\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The purpose of my\u00a0individual\u00a0project is\u00a0to give\u00a0the\u00a0residents of\u00a0Cahokia\u00a0Heights\u00a0a\u00a0constructed\u00a0list of local\u00a0businesses.\u00a0With\u00a0the\u00a0lower\u00a0economic status of\u00a0Cahokia Heights\u00a0along with the\u00a0underfunding;\u00a0businesses are being shut down,\u00a0and residents are not being made aware.\u00a0– Nadia Harris <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The purpose of my project is to give\u00a0insight on the history of the water crisis, the affection it has on the residents and what has been done\u00a0to help solve the problem\u00a0most people in cities in Illinois doesn\u2019t know anything\u00a0about this and I want to spread more attention, show the residents\u00a0so we would see people and not just numbers. I also want to\u00a0bring attention to this problem so that other organizations or people would like to help the residents and city \u2013 Lindell Blount\u00a0\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The purpose of my project is to give\u00a0a\u00a0native perspective on\u00a0Flooding and the\u00a0aftermath of\u00a0water\u00a0infrastructure.\u00a0Creating a Q&A for\u00a0residents and\u00a0future residents living\u00a0in the area of\u00a0Cahokia Heights.\u00a0It also\u00a0created the\u00a0opportunity to\u00a0prepare\u00a0for\u00a0future\u00a0flooding\u00a0and\u00a0the issues with\u00a0it.\u00a0I want\u00a0to\u00a0create\u00a0the\u00a0space\u00a0to\u00a0not only inform\u00a0but\u00a0also\u00a0help\u00a0residents\u00a0who\u00a0face\u00a0these\u00a0struggles.\u00a0–Julez\u00a0Hill<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    1. Who is this project made for?<\/strong>\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      We are creating this project for our community partners Heartlands Conservancy and Cahokia Public Library but mostly for residents in Cahokia Heights.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

      This project is created for the residents of Cahokia Heights, the library, our community partners <\/p>\n\n\n\n

      1. Why is it\u00a0important?<\/strong>\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

        This project is important because it is a way to not only provide much needed resources to the citizens of Cahokia Heights, but also to educate our other stakeholders. To let them know that this is something that we are looking into and we are aware of the issue. We want to spread awareness so that the community can start seeing results.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

        1. What\u00a0ethical\u00a0considerations?<\/strong>\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

          We should keep in mind that we are discussing a sensitive topic that is Cahokia community members\u2019 everyday lives. Try our best to not make the story about trauma and sympathy for farming. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

          1. What working practices will you\u00a0adapt?<\/strong>\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

            Some working practices that can be adapted are periodical check-ins on the website. A good habit can be to set goals on adding information to the website periodically to have a consistent rate of improvement throughout the semester. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
