What I am contributing to the scrolly telling besides imputting the map i constructed, is an overview of why and how I constructed my map. And also how no government funding and lack of proper water and food sources all play hand in hand. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

At some point in the semester; Jada, Juju, and I all looked at each of our portions of the map and tried to see how they cpnnected with eachother. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Outline:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Begin scrolly telling a brief story on a person living in Cahokia <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    1. As a group we were inspired by Flooded & Forgotten, and we then did research with archives, newspapers, and oral histories (describe this process!) <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      1. We decided to make a resource website <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
          \n
        1. Go into history of Cahokia (Lindell\u2019s pictures from archives)  <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
            \n
          1. Juju- Connect with the people(natives) of Cahokia Heights\/ East Saint Louis. Hearing personal testimonies of the struggles with water infrastructure. <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
              \n
            1. Nadia- provide a created map that showcases different categories of businesses that support the residents’ basic needs. <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
                \n
              1. Jada \u2013 including government funded agencies that provide funding, restore property damage, health aid, and all a rounded much needed resources for the residents of Cahokia heights. Showcase agencies that I think best suite the needs of the residents of Cahokia. <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

                1. Sa \u2019Dae – Creating a list of resources to educate residents on the resources available and the accessibility they have for each resource. Connecting them with grassroots organizations that can provide benefits to the community. <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

                  1. Keith\u2019s piece on landlord-tenant relationship dynamics in Cahokia and tips on landlord-tenant laws and what to do if your right are violated as a tenant. Give anonymous examples of landlord-tenant relationships from the survey. <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
