Hi! My name is Nicholas Muppidi-Fowler, and this is my eportfolio!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I graduated in May 2026 with a Bachelor of Arts in History and International Studies, and minors in Social Science Education, Pre-Law, Asian Studies, and Spanish from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. I was part of the first cohort of the Community-Oriented Digital Engagement Scholars (CODES) program. My research team collaborated with the National Great Rivers Research and Education Center (NGRREC) on various projects focused on community science, outreach, and education. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
This year, I became the first student in SIUE’s history to be selected for the U.S. Department of State’s Critical Language Scholarship – and I have now received it twice. The first award, in 2025, selected me from a pool of over 5,000 applicants nationally. The second, in 2026, selected me from over 4,500 applicants and placed me at the Arab American Language Institute in Tangier, Morocco. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
I hail from Madison County, IL, having grown up in Granite City and Collinsville. I graduated from Collinsville High School in the Class of 2022. My hobbies include playing guitar, writing, language learning, nature exploration, and discovering new aspects of history. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
