Template for a Class Portfolio

Introduction

During this first half of my semester I’ve learned that college is not easy and that you have to sacrifice some things for your education. One of my biggest struggles during this semester was time management. I think I’ve excelled at understanding the material given and and want to continue striving to reach my goals.

Goal 1 (20%)

[Oral Communication: Uses compelling, appropriate delivery techniques.]

[When recording this video I was able to tell how my oral communication changes by the delivery skills and the message’s clarity. 

Goal 2 (20%) 

[Solving Skills: Identifies and evaluate multiple approaches for solving problems.] 

[This is a paper written to analyze a text and evaluate it to get enough information through an essay. This evaluates the problem of discrimination that effects admission rates]

Goal 3 (20%)

[Written Communication: Demonstrates a thorough understanding of context, audience, and purpose.]

Reflection 2 helped me develop an understanding by using photos and captions to tell a story. During this process I’ve gained a stronger understanding in using my context clues. Next time i would organize my thoughts better.

Goal 4 (20%)

[Reading:Evaluates texts’ scholarly significance to apply reading to other contexts or issues.]

[Uses other readings that were once used to be able to show understanding and use it as evidence in their writing. This assignment helped me with MLA format.]

Goal 5 (20%)

[Ethical Reasoning: Identifies and analyzes their core beliefs and reflects upon their origin.]
