First-Week Introduction
I chose these five goals because they are topics that I would like to improve on and I believe I can use these goals to earn an A in the class. I also chose those goals because I felt like this class would provide a good amount of proof for them. I think the goal Civic Engagement, “Demonstrates ability and commitment to collaboratively work across and within community contexts and structures” will be the hardest to improve because I have to show commitment to working with the community partners. Sometimes we can go to our partners for help with our project if need be. The assignment I am the most excited to do is the final project presentation. presenting is a skill I am looking forward to improving on. The strategy that I want to set for myself to make sure all my work stays done stress free is not waiting to do it at the last minute. I will try to be proactive in getting my homework done.
Midterm Introduction
This semester I have learned a lot more about how to survey and different group projects. For example, in one of our source articles I learned there is a lot of students that use chat gpt to cheat are students that didn’t cheat before but felt like they were at a disadvantage. What I enjoyed the most about this semester was just the atmosphere of the class and our group discussions. This semester I wanted to improve my communication with my classmates and that is something I am still struggling with. The goal I think I excelled the most in is Reading, which evaluates texts’ scholarly significance to apply reading to other contexts or issues. I have improved this skill by analyzing our articles. I still have more room to improve as far as it goes with this goal. A goal I haven’t met yet is Civic Engagement, which demonstrates ability and commitment to collaboratively work across and within community contexts and structures. I don’t feel like I have had as many chances to meet this goal like I have with the ither goals.
Final Introduction
Due to the guidelines of the contract I technically would earn a B in the class. I was present to majority of class missing one day and I turned in all of my assignments on time besides two assignments. Over midterm you presented me the opportunity to turn them in and I turned in only one. According to the syllabus missing two assignments will bring you down a letter grade but Dr. Bradley stated that I could try to make an argument for an A hence the contract. I can’t deny I never turned in one of the assignments but the other assignment was done and turned in. I had that assignment done before the deadline but due to my negligence I failed to turn it in. I have a time stamp of when the picture of the assignment was taken proving it was done before the deadline which means I only missed one assignment allowing me to earn an A in the class. During the course of this class I learned a lot of valuable information from Dr. Bradley and the book. I learned the value and importance of having a functional group. For example, the experiment at NASA failed due to a different part of the group not listening to another. I plan on caring what I learned from this class into other group settings and specialty information literacy, which is one of my goals. I plan on going to law school and developing my information literacy is vital for my growth. During this class and college in general I have gained and admiration for reading and I will keep reading to keep this skill sharp.

I struggled to find visual proof for this goal, but I do have an example of it. The day we had class in the library was the first time this part of codes was working in groups. We had a small project that also demonstrated us using our ability to collaboratively work across and within community context and structures. In the small project we talk about different branches of problems then research articles with good information. I will have more proof of this goal by the end of the semester because we will have a final group project.
This semester we did more group work since we had a final project we had to present. I don’t have any pictures of our group working together but I have a picture of the PowerPoint we created to present in class. I believe this is adequate proof for this goal.

I don’t have any visual evidence for this goal but when we had class in the library was our first time working as a group in this class. we were working on a small group project. At some point we all had our own separate jobs we had to complete on our own. I was responsible for researching an article to help with the project. this is a good example of working independently toward goals by contributing and meeting deadlines. Next semester I will have more proof for this goal because we will have a final group presentation.
