Welcome to my all about me, since you’re reading this I’m going to assume you know nothing about me so I have to start from the beginning… or the semi beginning. So I am a black african American female born and raised most of my life in the suburbs of Saint Louis, Missouri (St. Peters). Although I was actually born at Mercy Hospital in downtown St. Louis and honestly you can say my family loves that hospital. My younger brother was born there and then my sister had her two children at that hospital. I moved to Illinois at the end of my 7th grade year, which was a small but huge change. It was easier because one of my close cousin’s went to the same school she was just a grade higher than me. Okay let’s speed past the rest to senior year, I received a full ride to SIUE for the 2022 fall semester that stretched until my graduation year. I was very grateful for the chance to chase my dreams of working in the psych field. At first I wanted to become a criminal psychiatrist… at the time I was watching too much Criminal Minds and SVU: Law and Order. The more I was thinking the more I realized I didn’t have enough empathy for criminals. Summer 2022 I started working at an autism clinic and learned about ABA therapy. I ended up loving it literally one of my favorite jobs, my coworkers are like family honestly and even though I’m the youngest everyone is immature. As a BCBA (Board Certified Behavioral Anaylist) you can have a psych degree so I’ve decided to change my route toward that field.
