I have multiple biggest takeaways from our project as a whole that I have learned and strengthened along the way. I realized how interconnected environmental issues are with the real world. Our project regarding water conservation isn\u2019t just about water; it is about the environment and the community. This made me think more comprehensively about wicked problems. Each part in a problem or situation has multiple factors or parts to it, whether they are clearly noticeable or hidden behind other factors. If one factor is touched, then it can have a domino effect on the other factors as well. This is why it is extremely crucial to consider all factors when working towards finding a number of solutions for a problem. CODES has given me a new perspective and mindset\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Another thing I have learned is public speaking. I used to be very shy and introverted before all of these presentations and practice we did in CODES classes. This skill I have learned and am still practicing, is a skill I will forever value and is crucial for my career. CODES has given me the outline for many new skills I will use in my future workplace in the hospital, in interviews, and when talking to patients and their families.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
