Introduction
During the first half of the semester, I learned a lot about my strengths and how I have things that I could improve upon. My ability to understand common themes or ideas within sources of information and comparing them is strong. At times in my writing my sentencing structure can hinder me from being able to communicate what I fully understand. Both my strengths and my improvements have made me a better student overall. The goal I most excelled upon would be my collaboration goal because I was able to find alternative ways to collaborate with other will still remaining organized. A goal I can continue to develop is my skills for lifelong learning goal because I want to continue to research more in depth about the few subjects within our subgroups.
1. Civic Engagement Goal
a: Demonstrates ability and commitment to collaboratively work across and within community contexts and structures. (20%)
My goal for this outcome is to collectively develop distinct and significant themes from contributing materials to drive the presentation of the content. My Multimodal Composition #1 talks about what we discovered during our MOBOT visit. I also address the six general characteristics of a wicked problem and exactly how the MOBOT fits into those characteristics through further research, class discussion, and the questions that we inquired about during our visit. With these contributing ideas, I am pushing toward finding possible solutions or further questioning about the historical representation of enslavement at the Garden. I highlighted information that I tied from the characteristics and how they can be applied to MOBOT.

4. Global Learning Goal
c: Applies knowledge and skills to implement sophisticated, workable solutions to address complex global problems using interdisciplinary perspectives. (20%)
Based on this outcome, I want to concentrate on generating complex ideas and finding supporting evidence that acknowledges those ideas and that will strengthen my understanding and overall importance of the source. My Source Analysis #1 was based on the assigned chapter reading “Wicked Problems”. Not knowing exactly how to do a source analysis I immediately applied their strategies to address a wicked problem to generate ideas on how to view our problem. I highlighted examples in my source analysis that directly states these ideas that I used in for my Multimodal Composition #1.

7. Skills for Lifelong Learning Goal
a: Explores a topic in depth, yielding a rich awareness and/or little-known information indicating intense interest in the subject. (20%)
With my skills for lifelong learning goal, I believe that my Source Analysis #4 best demonstrates this skill because I take the time to analyze the MOBOT website and take notes about the things that caught my attention and piqued my interest. For example, I saw the various events they advertised and arose questions and new ideas. Throughout the paper I highlighted my connections I made through my notes and from what I saw on the website.

9. Problem Solving Goal
b: Identifies and evaluates multiple approaches for solving problems. (20%)
Although early on in the semester we discovered that we are solving wicked problem with an indefinite solution. I think that the best way we have been able to figure out to address this problem is through finding sources and uploading them to our Team’s Necessary Knowledge document. This document allows us to share ideas, sources, and questions amongst which creates a rippling affect so that we can understand the complexity of our problem. I linked our Team’s Necessary Knowledge Document to indicate the research and collaborative problem solving that our Team does.

12. Collaboration Goal
a: Helps collaboration move forward by articulating the merits of alternative ideas. (20%)
Particularly with my collaboration goal, I took the time out to organize the Necessary Knowledge document earlier in the semester so that our various ideas, questions, important dates, and research references remained together instead of all complied within the document. This idea of a Necessary Knowledge document was all new for me and the way that my brain was able to process it more sufficiently was through organization. I later than found out that it did not only help myself but a few other of my classmates. I uploaded a link of our team’s Necessary Knowledge document to emphasize its organizational structure I created.
