Hello, my name is Tamaruis Toles, also known as Tee and I am from St. Louis Missouri. #314. I’m an incoming freshman, and a CODES Ambassador. I am academically a junior as I graduated from high school and college at the same time. Earning my associate’s in arts degree means so much to me as a first-generation college student.

I’m super excited to branch out, make new connections and join clubs and organizations on campus throughout my time SIUE. A few clubs that sparked my interest are, but not limited to: SNAP, BSU and Black Girls Rock! I’m really just looking for a space where I’m surrounded by people who look like, think like and act like me.

After graduating from SIUE with my bachelor’s of science and nursing I plan on working in the neonatal intensive care unit as a NICU nurse. As the oldest sibling I fell in love with taking care of infants and babies at an early age, I couldn’t imagine working in any field and it not involving children.

As far as hobbies go, I love all things girly. Doing my hair, makeup and shopping more than I probably should. One hobby of mine that always shocks everyone is sewing. I love to sew and I’ve been doing it since middle school. I’m self-taught have sewn a numerous of things including my senior prom dress!
