First-Week Introduction
There are many things that I hope to acheive this semester. More specifically, using my research, I will be able to help educate K-8 students on water ecology! It can be said that last semester I learned how to conduct different types of research such as interviews. I will be continuing that learning by meeting with both educators and organizations to cultivate lesson plans for K-8 students.
Midterm Introduction
Throughout the semester, there are many things that I have achieved! With that being said, I was able to plan and conduct interviews for my group’s upcoming water fair. I learned how to properly cultivate interview questions to investigate the community’s involvement in regards to the lack of education k-8 students have. Ultimately, I plan to share the interview results with the rest of my team in preparation for the water fair.
Final Introduction
Ultimately, I was able to achieve many things that I set out to achieve this semester. With that being said, I was able to help cultivate a water fair using engaging strategies! This semester I learned the imporatance of creating a plan for all projects. This one of the main strategies that kept me organized throughout the year. Ultimately, I enjoyed carrying out a fair that helped students learn about postive water sustainability practices.

In Reflection #2, I was able to create an agenda that helped guide me through the interview process. This was proven to be effective because I was able to reach my target audince and gain the perspectives of first-hand stakeholders in the community. Here, I have provided a excepert explaining my process for thinkning and organization. It can be said that creating a agenda before certain tasks are essential for producing organized and detailed work.

Here is my Content Analysis Outline which was critical when working to cultivate a informational. Here was a guideline that dmeonstrated some key components. I was able to incorporate this to my work reagarding the I held interviews with the National Great River Center to help find engaging water strategies.

The third piece of evidence demonstrates my ability to be able to identify different stakeholders such as the National Great River Center. Here I created a overview of the work that I conducted throught the semester. Here you can see that I have anaylzed the impact that our project has while being able to highlight local organizations in our community that are encouraging positive water practices.
Reflection 2

In Relection 2, I spoke brefiely on the topic of crictical thinking and how that made an impact on the questions I decided to ask staff at the National Great River Center. I remember revising the order and language of my question to get answers that will will help shape my future objectives.

My implementation plan for my reearch demonstrates a complex thinking and while showing an organized set of documents. Here i’m identifying the problem, context and method which ensures a sucessful interview.

The second piece of evidence listed here are my revised edits to my interview questions. I found that these edits helped touch on every topic specifically and made them clear.

Here is an uncoded excerpt of my second interview that covered an organization role reagrding the question. I was able to gain insights as far as their involvement with water school, project wet, teacher workshops, and their annual water festival.

Here is the Thematic Analysis that I was able to create using the interviews that I conducted. It demonstrates my ability to construct a complex understanding by identifying common themes throughout the interview with the usage of codes.
In Refelction 3, I was able to showcase my efforts to learn about how teachers incorporate water conservation into their curriculum. I learned that local organization provide school districts with material and trainings.


Here is the informational Poster I was able to create with the information given at the interview with the National Great River Center. This poster was created in inspiration to engage the public with ways to benefit themselves and the community.

Relfection 4 demonstrates the bias the peolple might have reagrding water conservation. In this reflection I addressed this concerned and incorporated my approach to this problem.


Here is my Implication Plan where I was able to cleary define my problems and it’s impact on society. My work demonstrates how I hace explored the question from a crictical lens.

Here I was able to speak to the importance of incorporating the pride and importance that JJK has on the community that they serve. Knowing this, I wanted to help curate engaging strategies that gives students the relatability of being in close proximity to the river.

In reflection #1, I demonstrated all of the things mentioned above by explainning my process and aspects that I considered. Moreover, by considering socioeconomic, political and enviormental challenges highlights factors that are vital to our research and the people that we are interviewing.


The frogwatch programs demonstrates how i’m gathering data to show how i’m enaging in conversations reagrding culture. The National Great River Museum/ Education center, explained to me the role that frogs play in our ecosystem. Furthermore, they were also able to share with me, how they are getting the community involved.

From one of my interviews, I found that the NGSS standards is one way that school districts ensure that the cirriculum is relevant.

Reflection 1
The first piece of eveidence demonstrates my problem-solving skills as it comes to contributing to my team. Here, I am doing my part by exaplaining my research question and it’s target. With that being said, I state that there will be 3-4 interviews which was something that I was able to accomplish.

The second piece of evidence demonstrates how I am crictically thinking about my question and process for interviews. Here creating a guideline for how I want to base the question. Ultiamtely, I demonstrate all items mentioned on my chart that hightlight critical thinking, creativity, and characteristics.

The National Great River Museum/ Education center was one the most vital interviews for my research. This organization provided more than enough information regarding their involvement with the community. After speaking with staff, I was able to gain an clear understanding of how they help teacher implement water education in classrooms while making it relevant to students.
