Leadership and Community.
I am currently a licensed realtor in Missouri, gaining hands-on experience in property investment, sales, and client relationship management. At the same time, I am working toward my goal of opening my own day care where I can create a safe, nurturing, and innovative environment for children to learn and grow. Pursuing a degree in Integrative Studies with a focus in Leadership in Organizations has provided me with a unique opportunity to connect academic learning with real-world experiences. Through CODES, the reflections, assignments, and combining mentorship with our collaborative projects have helped me develop a deeper understanding of strategic planning, organizational behavior, team leadership, problem-solving, and effective communication.
I have also applied these skills through volunteer leadership opportunities with organizations like the Urban League and the I AM My Sister Foundation, where I have supported programs promoting homeownership, financial literacy, mental health, and educational development for underserved communities. Leading initiatives, coordinating efforts, and mentoring peers have strengthened my ability to organize, inspire, and create meaningful impact. I apply these lessons to everyday life. Whether it is managing my relationships in real estate, developing business plans and curriculum for my daycare, or serving in volunteer roles, the various roles I’ve played have given me invaluable exposure to entrepreneurship and community engagement in action. The combination of classroom assignments, mentorship, professional experience, and volunteer leadership has equipped me to turn my entrepreneurial goals into my reality while making a positive lasting contribution to the communities I serve.
