Major
I plan to major in Criminal justice. I am most intrigues in learning about why people do what they do, and giving them a second chance at life.
Career Interests
There is a lot of cases that catch my attention. One particular one does not sit well with me and intrigues me and almost motivates me to do what I want to do. ‘The menendez brothers case,’ This one specifically because their parents put them through, mental,physical, and verbal abuse. They ended up murdering them, yet has still been in prison for 30+ years.
Courses completed
Code 120:
This was the first course that was introduced to me working with the CODES program, we went on a variety of field trips and continuously talk about different social factors in society.
Code 121
In this course, I specifically notice how we talk about social issues, including water and many different ways to solve it or other ways to think about it. It is very similar to the CODES program and favors the same issues, that include a lot of communication.
Intro to CJ 111
This class specifically is all intro information to law enforcement acts, the law, and overall basic information about your amendment rights. This class is by far my favorite.
ENG-125
This is a specific kind of english class, It’s more african american focused.
Future courses
PLTL, I have not heard good things about it, therefore makes me nervous.
