CODE120 Contract <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Dear Dr. DeSpain, <\/p>\n\n\n\n
In order to achieve my goal of getting an A in CODE120, here are the goals I\u2019ve set for myself and how I\u2019ll show my progress towards them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
1a) Demonstrates ability and commitment to collaboratively work across and within(10%) community contexts and structures.Based on this outcome, I\u2019ll show my portfolio via social media and other non school related sources that will be shown in my project through this first semester.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
8.c:Develops clear, innovative central messages with significant supporting material(10%). In other words,this means I would like to be able to make a point or give information and be able to back my information with sources.I\u2019ll include any written papers or documents that will support it. The outline will show my main points I’m trying to make and the evidence that I will have to back it up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
11.a:Evaluates texts\u2019 scholarly significance to apply reading to other context or issues(10%). It could be evaluating a particular part in our research group and making note of what we have read that can connect to issues of race and identity outside of just school. This skill is important because making connections is key and if it’s good or bad, you can relate a situation to something that was discussed in class and how you or any information you found could relate to that topic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
2b) Take risks in assignments and in approaches to learning to create new knowledge.(60%)My goal for this outcome is to accept the fact that all the writing assignments I do will not be perfect on the first or second try. Having an understanding to then try again and again on some assignments and maybe even rewriting some of my Reflections and make improvements to expand my writing structure and grammar skills.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
5.a: Defines the scope of research questions effectively and selects information cogently to address them (10%). My goal for this outcome is to make sure that all the research I do for my projects has sufficient evidence to be backed up. I\u2019ll have those brainstorming documents in my e portfolio to show my progression. They will show my evidence that links clearly and directly to the argument that I will be proposing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
