Template for a Class Portfolio

Introduction

During this first half of the semester, I learned that this a very transformative period filled with new experiences and opportunities to develop a wide range of skills. To begin with, communication skill is an essential skill. This is also crucial during your first semester. Learning to communicate effectively with my peers allows to clear up misunderstandings. I tend to struggle with this skill which I know I should work on immediately. Being the type of person that doesn’t like communicating because I’m scared of hearing negative feedback is overwhelming. I enjoyed creating new bonds with my classmates. I struggled with time management the most this semester but I’m slowly learning where to start.  

During the second semester, I would like to work on self- advocacy. College encourages independence. Part of that is learning to advocate for myself. Whether it’s seeking help from my professors, utilizing campus resources, or addressing issues that affect my well-being. Being able to speak up for myself and my needs is important.
