CODE 320 Learning Contract

This is an excerpt from my contribution to the Dissemination Plan. This shows the research I’ve been completing and how it connects to the community partner (JJKFAN) and other stakeholders.

This is a part of the group contribution to the Emplace that I created. This shows how I took things that we learned in CODES (specifically CODE220) to help with the northern campus development.

Additionally, this is an excerpt from my individual contribution to the Emplace. In this I am talking about what can be done to keep the soil healthy after phytoremediation is put into place. This once again shows the connection between CODES and the goals of the community partner.

This is a slide from the Undergraduate Scholar Showcase Presentation that I created. This explains how what we have done in CODES will continue to help not only JJKFAN with the northern campus development but it will also help others in the community who may be looking to do something similar.

This is an excerpt from my Dissemination Plan. This shows how I’ve gone thoroughly through multiple avenues when deciding how to disseminate the work and helping others solve similar problems to the one I helped solve.

This is an excerpt from my Reflection #1. This shows how I’ve gone through different solutions that could be plausible but plan on working through just one of them that would be the most beneficial for the community.

This is an excerpt from my Reflection #4. In this I explain how my work can be changed or adjusted to fit what others (besides JJKFAN) may need the research for. This shows how my work can be used in different avenues beyond the main one we focused on in CODES.

This is a part of one of my slides from the Undergraduate Scholar Presentation. In this I also explained what different steps are taken in the development of the northern campus regarding the soil research. When I presented, I explained more in depth about the different variables that go into these steps and the variety of ways that JJKFAN and others can go about achieving their goals

This is an excerpt from my Reflection #2 where I talk about the two stakeholders of my soil research. This shows that I understand the different perspectives that my work will be viewed from and therefore also understand the need for multiple avenues of understanding and usage required.

This is my portion of the Emplace Contribution Plan where I briefly explain what I’ve been doing in past semesters and how I plan on revising and continuing that work through this semeseter. This demonstrates that I am working to improve upon my past work and research to make sure that it is understandable and helpful to the community partner.

This is an excerpt from my Reflection #4. In this I explain how my work will be adaptable to other communites. This shows that while I am able to specifically help JJKFAN, the work can also be used in the future in different spaces.

This is an excerpt from my contribution to the Dissemination Plan. I explain one of my ethical concerns about disseminating my research and explain my solution to that to ensure that when my research is used by other communities, they are able to actually help their soil and ecosystem rather than harming it more.

This is an excerpt from my Reflection #2 in which I explain who I want my work to reach. This demonstrates how I am able to put my passion for the project/research and use it as a means to educate people and help them with their own issues.

This is my first draft of the individual Emplace contribution where I explain phytoremediation and it’s benefits. Through this I was able to go onto the final draft and display how my research goes in depth and the ways it can help people.

These are all excerpts from my portion of the group contribution to Emplace. In these, it’s clear that I am able to go in depth in what I am talking about and relate it back to both the definition of a wicked problem as well as our personal wicked problem.

These are my presentation notes for the Undergraduate Showcase. These were mainly guiding points so I knew what to address next but they are also an example of the knowledge that I researched throughout CODES and this semester.

This is an excerpt from my Reflection #3 where I speak about how I give feedback to others. This demonstrates how I am able to look back upon myself, acknowledge areas in which I need to improve and do both of those in a reflective writing manner.

This is my Author Biography. This demonstrates how I am able to write in different ways and ensure that the writing is cohesive and understandable to those reading it.

These are two of the slides I made for the Undergraduate Scholar Showcase. In these I showed how to make the slides readable and guide the reader/watcher to what I am talking about with the designs and logos helping them.

This is an excerpt from my individual contribution to Emplace. In this I both introduced myself to familiarize the reader with who is speaking/writing. I also made a small graph to explain what makes up the soil research that I performed. This way, the reader knows what they are getting into when recieving the Emplace.
