First-Week Introduction

First and foremost, I intend on improving my turning in assignments on time, last semester I was behind with a lot of assignments and struggling to keep up with due dates and I hope to improve that this semester.

Midterm Introduction

So far this year me and my team conducted our first survey. Since I have joined the “Youth Education” group, I have shifted gears from water quality to education. This has caused me to look at water quality and education as it pertains to a whole demographic of younger adolescents. This can be challenging as a scholar who already has some background knowledge on water quality and resource management, but it is also engaging to have to apply critical thinking skills to provide information to a specific audience which passively causes my team to apply various methods of reasoning and educated reasoning as we are aiming to educate a less informed demographic.

Final Introduction:

This year I have improved in working along with my peers, but there is still room available for improvement. I am excited to have completed my first full ear as a CODES scholar. I am motivated to continue working in group academic settings now that I have a good understanding of the ins and outs. I look forward to building upon what we’ve worked on this year and impressing our professors with our achievements.

  • After conduction a data analysis over the results from our first group interview project; I took it upon myself to investigate on the potential relationship between ethnicity in relation to knowledge of certain water conservation or resource management practices. An example would be, does the African American demographic correlate to an increased knowledge in mulching?
