2024 – So far…

So far during my time in my TsComm cohort, working alongside my peers, I have been able to improve many social and intrapersonal communication skills by working on group projects and collaborating on different tasks and sections for digital projects.

Here is an example, me and my teams MC #2

Community Garden MC#2 (After Edits).docx

My Goals

(4a – 20%)

[Adapts and applies a deep understanding of multiple worldviews, experiences, and power structures while initiating meaningful interaction with other cultures to address significant global problems]

Artifact 1:

I chose a screenshot of this Final presentation project to represent my progression in this goal as I believe it highlights not just problems with contemporary narratives is American society but as an example to global issues that have many similarities to the same narrative of complex problems that arise from colonization.

Goal 2 (4c – 20%)

[Applies knowledge and skills to implement sophisticated, workable solutions to address complex global problems using interdisciplinary perspectives]

Artifact 1: (TsC Multi Modal Composition #2)

I chose this artifact to represent my progression in this goal as I believe in essence it sufficiently signifies my knowledge and current intent to find ways to find solutions for humanitarian crisis that affect people world wide.

Goal 3 (7a – 10%)

[Explores a topic in depth, yielding a rich awareness and/or little-known information indicating intense interest in the subject]

I chose this analysis on the literary work of Bruce Upholdt to signify my progression in this goal. In this reflection I identify key details of what makes his literature unique especially on historical topics such as the connection of Fort Massiac to contemporary narratives of colonization and the impact it had on them.

Goal 4 (2c – 10%)

[Transforms ideas through synthesizing knowledge from multiple domains.]

Artifact 1: (Reflection 3)

I chose this Rhetorical analysis essay as an artifact to represent my progression in the goal as I believe it exemplifies the essence of discerning different methods of communication pathology and methods used to better relate to a specific audience while giving readers a different perspective on a widespread issue, unearthing uncommon yet factual.

Goal 5 (6b – 40%)

[Demonstrates sophisticated understanding of the complexity of elements important to members of another culture in relation to history, values, politics, communication styles, economy, or beliefs and practices]

Artifact 1: (“Disrupting Narratives of Colonization” Final Presentation Screenshot)

I chose artifact to represent my progression in this goal as I believe it displays how I use research to clearly narrate, and demonstrate the complexities of the reality of how modern narrative of colonization aren’t morally adequate as they fail to consider the past error of early settlers and how their explorations buried under the ruble of modern narratives of colonization.
