Who do you want your work to reach? Who are the relevant stakeholders? how do/should they shape your work?
I would like my research team and I’s work to reach a variety of individuals. I think the research we are doing for conservation is an important topic that many kinds of people should know about , to try to help address it in different ways. I think awareness of my work to the people I want to reach is important because I would like for it to be effective and presented in a way that allows my audience to want to care. I specifically would like to reach the audience of young adults here at SIUE. I would like to reach the young adults on campus the most because they are my peers and the future generations of this world. I think their motivation for important wicked problems or topics is not at the level it should be and this is concerning for the days to come on our Earth. I would like my work to reach them to influence the way they all behave and think.
Relevant stakeholders for my work I think are educators , investors , community partners, young adults , and policy makers. This specific list of stakeholders are important because they all would be working together to benefit the wicked problem of involving young adults in conservation. The specific audience and stakeholders involved help shape my work with the individual roles they play as people in the world. Their roles can give them an opportunity to spread this information further than to only young adults. Conservation is a concept more people globally need to worry about. Ways they also shape my work would be financially , academically , legally, being extra support , providing guidance and feedback. Having multiple stakeholders from different areas allows my work to be the best version and unbiased. Additionally , within our interactions of working together all stakeholders will be able to learn from my work, just as my research team and I learn from them .
