30% Civic Engagement 1B
Connects and extends knowledge from academic study to civic engagement.
I chose this one because, given what we will be working towards this semester, it will be essential to translate everything we’ve been working on in class academically to the actual final project that we will be presenting and finalizing and that will go public.
30% Information Literacy 5A
Defines the scope of research questions effectively and selects information cogently to address them.
This outcome was important because this semester, my team and I will make our research question come to life. We will need to understand what it entails and figure out what information we need to collect to make it digestible for our audience(s) to understand.
10% Skills for Lifelong Learning 7B
Pursues knowledge and educational experience beyond the classroom.
I chose this goal because I will have to take initiative if needed and, when possible, to make the final project happen outside of class. Whether that’s going to the gardens outside of class, emailing garden staff outside of class time, or meeting with my teammates outside of class.
20% Oral Communication 8C
Develops clear, innovative central messages with significant supporting material
I chose this goal because we will have to make our final project digestible for our audiences to understand.
10% Collaboration 12B
Facilitates collaborators’ contributions by building upon their contributions and noticing when someone is not participating and inviting them to engage.
We are doing a lot of collaboration, and we need to be able to hold each other accountable and work together effectively, and I will hold myself to that standard as well.
