Quantitative Literacy 10 b (20%)

I will use a quantitative perspective as the foundation to analyze deep and thoughtful judgments and create well-thought-out conclusions.

I chose this one because I think it’s important for me to build and practice using quantitative analysis skills because we might come across a lot of qualitative data, and I need to be able to translate that information into a more human and compassionate way.

Information Literacy 5c (20%)

I can carefully include research, and I can demonstrate that i understand the ethical and legal restrictions on information use.

It is important to ensure that I am careful when including my research not to do anything that might jeopardize the privacy of others and using the information I receieve wisely.

Ethical Reasoning 3c (10%)

I can apply ethical concepts to questions/research questions and consider their full implications.

I chose this goal because, similar to 5c, I need to be able to apply ethical reasoning in my research and go through everything to make sure what I am doing is ethically right.

Civic Engagement 1a (30%)

I can work with others and still try to include things like their cultural values and ideals in our work.

I chose this because this is still a collaborative program, and I think it’s important to be able to cooperate and work with either group members or our community partners.

Skills for Lifelong Learning 7b (20%)

I can apply what I am learning in this class to other classes or my own experiences.

I chose this goal because, yes, I will be practicing the things we learn in class, but it will help me retain and strengthen my skills more if I continue to practice it in other spaces, along with giving me different perspectives to practice my research and thinking skills.
